It is not very often that Danish design company VOLA adds a new product to its range. When it does, it inevitably creates a stir. Already, the company’s first ever round-head shower, launched this year, has won the German Design Council’s prestigious Design Award 2014.

The new round shower – or VOLA 060 – comes in a ceiling or wall-mounted version and is available in chrome, brushed stainless steel as well as a variety of colours.

VOLA’s unique products all take their proportions from the classic Arne Jacobsen tap specially designed for the company more than 40 years ago, accounting for why items across the whole range work so well together.

VOLA says its principle of design “is so simple that it fits into changing styles in architecture and design. The round shower is the latest evolution in our acclaimed Round Series which takes the circle – already a key feature of VOLA design – as its focus.”
