Bespoke Bathrooms feeling inspired after Cape Town design week

We are back at work feeling incredibly inspired and full of new ideas for Bespoke Bathrooms projects after attending the Design Indaba Conference and Expo last week.

Our favourite speakers were the Nando’s founder Robbie Brozin; Korean American chef Roy Choi; and the wonderful Rosita Missoni, matriarch of the Italian family-run fashion and home label Missoni.

We loved Robbie Brozin because Nando’s is supporting local design and exporting locally made products to its franchises around the world. These pendant lights are headed for outlets in the USA and are handmade in Cape Town by an urban weaving group in DuNoon township:

We loved Los Angeles based Chef Roy Choi because he has a beautiful giving spirit and a strong belief in being an agent of social change through his work:

We loved Rosita Missoni because she shows us that being top of one’s game in the design industry has no age limit – she is 84 years old – and because Bespoke Bathrooms has always had a weakness for the Missoni homeware range! The Missoni style is famous for its zigzag motifs, stripes and waves:
