Currently under construction in Miami, Florida is the One Thousand Museum skyscraper, the design of which is quintessential Hadid, featuring sweeping curves and geometric forms. Hadid’s concept was that of “a continuous piece of contemporary sculpture.”

The building will offer 83 luxury residential units and is set to be completed in late 2018 – progress at the site can be followed via three live camera feeds. The project takes its name from its location opposite Museum Park and the starting price for apartments is US$ 6-million (R90-million).

Elevators will lead directly up to each private apartment in the 62-story skyscraper whose standout features include an infinity pool, a gym, spectacular views of Miami, and the city’s first private helicopter pad.

The building’s developers have released renderings of the tower which give a sneak-peek of what will likely be hailed a Zaha Hadid masterpiece.

According to the building’s website the bathrooms are a tranquil space which have been “designed with spa-quality features and finishes. Custom European cabinetry and countertops are available in an array of fine materials and colors to accommodate owner preferences.”
