Maison & Objet find: Shaker inspired stool perfect anywhere in the home
Stools can add a functional yet stylish pop to any space. They are also versatile and can be used in virtually every room of the home – as a bedside table, a desk chair, a plant stand, a side table and of course as extra seating. In the bathroom a stool is great for holding towels ready when stepping out of the shower or as a side table for a relaxing cup of tea next to the bath tub.
Bespoke Bathrooms found a particularly graceful stool which was showcased at the recent Maison et Objet trade fair in Paris. The Imo stool by British design studio Pinch is inspired by the Shaker tradition of furniture making. It folds down through its centre, allowing it to be wall mounted using an accompanying walnut peg, so it will look as elegant when stored as it does in use.
The Imo is made with a solid walnut frame and a solid oak top and is also available as black stained ash.
Pinch is an established British design studio based in South London, celebrated for its consistently high quality and genre defining furniture. The studio’s products are characterised by a quiet and elegant aesthetic.
