House Galloway’s existing main en-suite bathroom at was very uncomfortable and unwelcoming – so much so that our client had started using her guest bathroom instead. It was difficult to enter from the bedroom, which made the separate shower, loo and bathroom spaces even more awkward to use.
We carefully re-designed the entire space so that there was an easy flow from bedroom entrance to the bathroom, as well as connecting both these rooms to the beautiful garden which wraps around the house. The wall splitting the existing space was demolished and a small window closed off, and we heightened the opening to the bathroom to help create a feeling of space.
We worked with simple textured finishes, using a linen-look textured floor tile and an engineered stone vanity top and window sill by Vicostone. We also added a hexagonal mosaic inset from Douglas Jones in the recessed shower niche.
The clean lines of the vanity top with Duravit underslung basins are complimented by Hans Grohe taps, and deliver a practical and comfortable work space. The custom grey glass splashback and large mirror with integrated LED lights, reflect the peaceful garden and help connect the exterior and interior spaces.
The custom joinery for the vanity includes a central removable laundry basket and is designed in a rich warm grey to contrast well with the floor and walls.
Our client is so pleased with the resulting easy flow from the bedroom entrance to the bathroom, and the wonderful quality of light which has been created by opening up the space.
Thank you so much to the amazing work you did in revamping our outdated, pokey bathroom. After the renovation, which required a supporting wall to be knocked down, the bathroom is a bright, airy space. The building team needs special mention as their attention to detail is very impressive. It was an easy renovating experience thanks to all involved at Bespoke Bathrooms.
