This grand home is situated near the seaside on the slopes of Lion’s Head. The existing bathroom was rather dated and needed the right feel for the young girls in the family. The starting point for the design concept was the shaped hexagon tiles. The champagne colour of the Meir tapware adds warmth to the grey tones of the Calacatta marble-look tiles.
For the House Bantry Bay bathroom, we took special care with the tile edging detail and carried that through to the edge detail of the basin splashback, which mirrors the size and angle of the hexagonal tiles.
The bespoke, custom-made backlit mirror with a steel frame is finished in champagne to match the taps. The joinery is clad in real oak veneer with a white matte oil finish, showcasing a beautiful natural texture. We also added the tall custom mirror cabinet for extra storage.
The basin taps and shower faucets are from Meir, and the concealed cistern and wall-hung pan are from Geberit.
All metal finishes were carefully considered to complement the champagne-coloured taps. The second colour we worked with was steel, ensuring the Jeeves heated towel rail and shower glass hardware didn’t take away from the focal finish of the champagne taps.
